A heat sink can be made to fit between the transmitter and the counting mechanism to protect the measuring instrument from high temperatures. The Oval Gear Flow Meter has a measuring chamber with a pair of precision-made elliptical gear rotors. The counting mechanism consists of a reduction mechanism, an adjustment mechanism, a counter, and a transmitter when necessary.
